Preserved Gypsophila Cotton in Sky Blue captivates with its exceptionally soft pastel shade and its distinctive compact flower clusters that resemble delicate cotton balls. This unique appearance inspired the name of the Cotton collection. Compared to classic preserved gypsophila, the flowers remain more closed, creating a soft, fluffy and highly elegant texture that looks stunning in modern floral arrangements.

The delicate sky-blue colour beautifully enhances the romantic character of floral decorations and pairs perfectly with white, cream, beige and soft pink tones. It is one of the most subtle colours used in wedding floristry and premium decorative arrangements.

Thanks to the preservation process, the plant maintains its decorative appearance for a long time without requiring watering or any special care.

The Cotton collection – why do the flowers resemble cotton balls?

The Cotton collection is created from gypsophila that first undergoes an intensive whitening process before being dyed in exceptionally delicate pastel colours. Only this technology makes it possible to achieve subtle shades such as Sky Blue, Lavender, Mint or Powder Pink, which cannot be obtained by simply dyeing natural gypsophila.

The whitening process naturally affects the flower structure. The petals become more compact and partially bonded together, causing the flower clusters to resemble soft cotton balls. This is a distinctive characteristic of the Cotton collection and a natural result of the production process rather than a product defect.

This advanced technology is what gives the gypsophila its exceptionally light pastel colours that cannot be achieved with untreated natural plant material.

Important product information

PLEASE NOTE! Producing the Cotton pastel collection is one of the most technologically demanding preservation processes used in the preserved plant industry. Intensive whitening followed by colouring weakens the plant structure, making the product more delicate than classic preserved gypsophila.

The following characteristics may naturally occur:

  • stems with fewer flowers,
  • more compact flower clusters resembling soft cotton balls,
  • greater fragility during transport and floral arranging,
  • natural differences in flower density and branching.

During the whitening process, specialised treatment agents are used, which means the product may have a characteristic whitening scent. This is completely natural and gradually fades over time.

Due to the complexity of the production process, fewer and fewer manufacturers continue to produce pastel preserved gypsophila. The Cotton collection is one of the most technologically demanding preserved floral products and is highly valued for its exceptional colours and distinctive appearance.
