Preserved Gypsophila Cotton – Dusty Lavender

A delicate Powder Lavender shade and soft flower clusters resembling fluffy cotton balls
Preserved Gypsophila Cotton in Powder Lavender delights with its exceptionally soft pastel shade and its distinctive compact flower clusters that resemble delicate cotton balls. This unique appearance inspired the name of the Cotton collection. Compared to classic preserved gypsophila, the flowers remain more closed, creating a soft, fluffy texture that adds elegance, lightness and refinement to floral arrangements.
Powder Lavender is one of the most subtle shades used in modern floristry. It combines the romantic charm of lavender with the softness of pastel tones and pairs beautifully with white, cream, beige, soft pink, sky blue and natural greenery.
Thanks to the preservation process, the plant retains its decorative appearance, flexibility and softness for many months without requiring watering or any additional care.

The Cotton collection – why do the flowers resemble cotton balls?
The Cotton collection is created from gypsophila that first undergoes an intensive whitening process before being dyed in exceptionally delicate pastel shades. Only this technology makes it possible to achieve subtle colours such as Powder Lavender, Baby Pink, Blue, Mint and Cream, which cannot be obtained by simply dyeing natural gypsophila.
The whitening process naturally changes the flower structure. The petals become more compact and partially bonded together, causing the flower clusters to resemble soft cotton balls. This is a distinctive feature of the entire Cotton collection and a natural result of the production process rather than a product defect.
The whitened base is what makes it possible to create exceptionally light pastel shades that distinguish the Cotton collection from traditional preserved gypsophila.
Important product information
PLEASE NOTE! Producing the Cotton pastel collection is one of the most technologically demanding preservation processes used in the preserved plant industry. Intensive whitening followed by colouring weakens the plant structure, making the material more delicate than classic preserved gypsophila.
The following characteristics may naturally occur:
- stems with fewer flowers,
- more compact flower clusters resembling soft cotton balls,
- greater fragility during transport and floral arranging,
- natural variations in flower density, branching and stem structure.
During the whitening process, specialised treatment agents are used, which means the product may have a characteristic whitening scent. This is completely natural and gradually fades over time.
Due to the complexity of the production process, fewer and fewer manufacturers continue to produce pastel preserved gypsophila. The Cotton collection is regarded as one of the most technologically advanced preserved floral products, appreciated for its exceptional colour palette and its distinctive soft flower structure.
