Alpine Reindeer Moss – Decorative Lichen with Balanced Structure
Alpine reindeer moss is a preserved lichen offering a great balance between volume, softness and color uniformity. More structured than the Scandinavian variant and more affordable than Finnish moss, it is perfect for creative wall designs, logos and floral arrangements requiring consistent coverage and natural appearance.

Reliable quality for natural compositions
Alpine reindeer moss is a stabilized lichen with a soft texture and flexible form, preserved with a glycerin solution. It is non-living and requires no water or sunlight. With a balanced structure and medium-density tufts, it is ideal for green panels, frames and decorations in homes, offices or restaurants. It performs best in rooms with 40–60% humidity. Easy to glue with a hot glue gun on wooden boards. Approximately 6–7 kg are needed per square meter for full coverage. Available in 100g, 200g and 2kg formats.
Styling and application tips
- Create accent walls, signage or interior installations
- Combine with flat moss, preserved ferns or eucalyptus for layered texture
- Use different shades of green for a more natural result
Alpine moss offers an excellent compromise between price and aesthetic effect, making it a solid choice for both amateur and professional decorators.
