Stabilized Lichen
Ideal for compositions, green walls and paintings. Stabilization (in this process mix of silicone, salt has been used) technique helps to maintain lichen in good conditions for many years. From biological point of view lichen is not alive. It does not need watering or sun light.
Conditions of use
General: Preserved lichen is natural. Variations in shape, size and colour may exist between elements of the same reference. Some parts may show slight defects (uneven colour...).
Use: Can be glued with PVC floor glue, preferably solvent-free or hot glue.
Exposure to light/heat: Lichen exposed to the sun for prolonged periods can discolour - Exposed to heat, it dries out, shrinks and becomes brittle.
Humidity: When the surrounding humidity exceeds 40% in the air, the lichen regains its original appearance and suppleness. If the surrounding humidity level is too high, the lichen can become waterlogged and let out a few drops of colour. Do not put it in contact with other plants or light-coloured porous material to prevent it from fading.
Changes over time: Over time, the lichen may discolour slightly.
